Just Takes 2, third section

Here's the completed 3rd section...

This is going to be one great quilt! I took a pic of the three sections (not knowing really how they are suppoesd to fit together!)..at this point they don`t all fit on the double bed.

An Album Quilt

Quiltmakers often designed and made an Album quilt to commemorate an occasion in the life of the group, recipient, or maker of the quilt.

The Album quilt would have pieced blocks and/or applique, and often would include signatures. They have been presented as wedding quilts, gifts to leaving religous leaders, and gifts to those who are moving away. The quilt blocks and design would provide memories of the time spent with the quiltmaker(s).

My blog name is A Quiltmaker's Album because I see my blog postings as forming one large album quilt, each blog posting as a block to remember my quilting adventures.
